info: i am currently in the process of writing a book about a local pioneer entomologist en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthony_… this is one of the type specimens (ie: the species was described on the current specimen) i found in his collection. Apologies for the image poor quality but i took these pictures quite some time ago. the subspecies vallettai is endemic to the Maltese islands. some regards the latter as a synonym.
