Rivetina beatica

this is a very rare Mantis species in the Maltese islands, found mainly in the Western part of Malta island, but if you're lucky, it can be encountered elsewhere on the Archipelago. females have short wings, while males have long once. hind-wings have eye-spot markings, diagnostic to this species, at least in Malta.
